As we close the year, we look back on milestones that shaped our journey in 2024 — from the completion of impactful projects like the Thomson-East Coast Line stations, to award wins, and the launch of SAA's Design Playbook.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- Stage 4 of Thomson-East Coast Line opens for passenger service
The launch adds seven new stations to Singapore's mass rapid transit (MRT) line. SAA was the architectural consultant for three stations — Marine Terrace, Siglap, and Bayshore — undertaking station planning and the full architectural scope from project inception to delivery. - Woodlands Health Campus officially opened by Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong
Singapore's newest hospital that officially opened on 13 July integrates nature to foster healing and recovery, enhancing both patient care and staff wellbeing. Its innovative design has earned it a spot as a finalist for the 2024 World Architecture Festival award in the Completed Buildings: Health category. - JTC's Bulim Square obtains TOP, slated for full completion in 2025
The first phase of the major industrial mixed-use hub project — Bulim Square's four blocks, is now ready to facilitate collaborative innovation while promoting greener practices in the industrial sector. - Penang Marriott Complex officially opens
Towering 55-storeys, the officially opened three-part development brings modern luxury to the nostalgic, culturally-rich charm of Penang, elevating it as a vibrant travel destination to boost the Malaysian state's economy and tourism.

- 14th Top Ten Architects win at BCI Asia Awards
SAA has been ranked as one of Singapore’s Top Ten Architects in 2024 at the BCI Asia Awards, marking the 14th time we are receiving the award. - Bo'ao Lecheng Incubator Hub wins Merit at CREDAWARD
This project clinched merit in the Comprehensive Commercial Project category. This year's CREDAWARD attracted 746 entries from world-renowned design firms and developers across 23 countries and regions.

- SAA launches the Design Playbook
The Design Playbook was launched in celebration of World Architecture Day, and aims to empower designers to navigate a VUCA world, providing them a framework for creating resilient, sustainable, and endearing spaces. - Five SAA professionals join SBR's 20 Under 40 list
Five architecture professionals from SAA have joined the Singapore Business Review's (SBR) list of the country's most notable architecture professionals under the age of 40, recognising their contributions to Singapore’s architectural landscape.
