A project of national significance, unprecedented scale and complexity, Terminal 5 (T5) at Changi Airport in Singapore is set to cement Singapore’s place as a leading aviation hub and continue Changi’s reputation as the world’s best airport. T5 marks the biggest expansion at Changi Airport to date, building operational resilience across Changi Airport.

The Master Building Consultancy (MBC) team, headed by lead consultant Kohn Pederson Fox Associates (KPF), comprises over 30 international and local consultancies undertaking their respective specialized scope to design and develop the Arrivals Ground Transportation Centre (A-GTC), Terminals 5A (Headhouse), 5B and Satellite Terminal C.

SAA was appointed as the Local Partner and Architectural Qualified Person (QP) for the Headhouse 5A and Terminal 5B, also developing the back-of-house design, including operations for critical functions of baggage handling, airport systems and services, district cooling, Changi Airport Group (CAG) offices and other co-located government offices. T5A and T5B includes transit retail and F&B; transit hotels, lounges, automated people mover (APM) stations and tunnels connecting the whole Changi East development to Changi West; combined services tunnels (CST) connecting development-wide; 49 aircraft contact stands and infrastructure for future MRT lines.
