Located a stone’s throw away from Redhill MRT station, Alexandra Vale’s two 41/50-storey residential blocks will be among the tallest public housing blocks in the vicinity offering views towards the city and Mount Faber. Terraced planting at the multi-storey carpark cascade down to the ground-level precinct landscape– recalling the “Bukit (Hill)” of Bukit Merah (Red Hill). Greenery spaces connect seamlessly to the adjacent park where there are several landscape facilities, as well as a few existing mature trees that have been retained.
The precinct and park host a variety of multi-generational communal spaces that encourage active and healthy lifestyles. Biophilic design principles have also been adopted to provide an easily accessible, lush and biodiverse landscape.
As an added design gesture, the residential towers’ façade precast features were strategically designed to function as noise attenuation elements, while simultaneously giving the precinct its distinct look. The structural system is configured to allow for column free internal spaces in the units for greater layout flexibility.
