Tony Ang
A seasoned architect with over 40 years of diverse professional experience, Tony works with the leadership to develop the expertise and key functions of SAA as it grows into a global practice.
Over the years, Tony was responsible for the successful delivery of landmark projects that have had a lasting impact on Singapore’s cityscape, including the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort and the South Beach integrated development.
His expertise spans various project types, including Mixed Use, Commercial, Residential, TOD & Transport, Industrial, Institutional, AEI, and SDI initiatives. His strong relationships with professional and statutory bodies contribute to his influential role in local and regional business development.
Tony served as a Board Member of the Board of Architects in Singapore from 2010 to 2019 and continues to do so from 2020 to 2024, championing the interests of the professional body with government agencies and advocating sustainability within the profession. He holds positions at the Singapore Institute of Architects, serving as a Fellow Member and Council Member from 2021 to 2024. He was also a member of Professional Practice Exams panel for the registration of local architects.
As an SCDF Registered Inspector, Tony is sought after as an auditor on fire and life safety matters in large and complex developments. He continues to actively mentor young architectural graduates from institutions of higher learning and local universities, and offers pro-bono advisory services to charitable groups.
