Rustam Tan

Rustam joined SAA as a Architectural Executive in 2008 bringing with him both masterplanning and architectural experience. He has since taken on institutional, industrial, residential, and transportation projects such as ACS Independent Hostel and JTC Space @ Tampines North, with particular expertise in rail projects.

Rustam’s engaging nature and hands-on approach anchors his team and facilitates collaboration, resulting in thoughtful design outcomes that are human-centric and functional. In a short span of 11 years, Rustam has accrued invaluable expertise in the design and construction of 12 MRT stations.

Rustam most recently led the team for the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) Line 2, consisting of 10 underground stations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Within these engineer-driven projects, Rustam continues to enhance commuters’ underground transit experience through innovative solutions.
