Lim Hong Kian

Hong Kian is a qualified LEED professional and a strong advocate of leveraging technology for sustainable and innovative design solutions. This thinking was the key driving force behind landmark projects such as the Jurong Lake District Masterplan, Dover Masterplan and JTC Bulim smart industrial building and planning projects.

As a Director at SAA, he leads the design and business development direction of the company and is part of the core team to develop key overseas markets like China and Indonesia. He also collaborates closely with the Surbana Jurong Future City team to translate transformative ideas into built projects across the region.

In 2021, Hong Kian was appointed Chief Executive Officer of SJ North Asia and is currently based in Shanghai, where he brings significant design, technical and management expertise to the North Asia office.

Besides Singapore and China, Hong Kian has worked in Malaysia, Vietnam, Spain and the UAE. His diverse portfolio of projects include mixed use, transportation, residential, institutional, hospitality, landscape, master planning and urban design developments.
