Andrew Lee
Andrew Lee is a visionary designer, known for shaping Singapore’s future through innovative and interdisciplinary approaches. As an alumnus of NUS’ architectural school, he graduated in 1991 with a passion for architecture, urbanism, and culture, and has since been involved in groundbreaking projects – challenging conventions and exploring new possibilities.
In 2014, Andrew was recognised as one of Asia’s Top Designers at the Singapore Design Awards. A generous mentor and passionate speaker, he regularly shares insights at industry forums and authority engagements. His notable projects include the "smart" Tuas Terminal Gateway, the Bulim Estate Goods Movement System, and the award-winning Gateway Theatre.
Andrew brings to SAA his award-winning expertise and vision to one of the most vital sectors of Singapore’s development. With his experience in transit planning, master planning, and various building types, he leads the design of key projects in Singapore and the region that will shape the future of urban mobility, working and living. He also leads the SAA Architect-in-Residence Studio at SUTD, inspiring students to address global issues and envision alternative ways of living in the 21st century.
Beyond his architectural work, Andrew is an active educator, writer, and design jury member, contributing to the discourse on architecture, urbanism, and culture. His multi-faceted contributions make him a true pioneer in the field.
