SAA presents insights on TODs at SIA seminar
29 April 2024
Transit-Oriented Developments (TODs) serve as vital nodes in today's mega cities; the connective tissue in live-work-play+connect environments.
Senior Associate Director Patrik Ng underscored this point at a recent master planning seminar organised by the Singapore Institute of Architects. He explored how TODs like Northpoint City can facilitate convenience, accessibility, and community interaction — important catalysts for urban equity. At a larger scale, the weaving of interconnected TODs in masterplan designs, such as the Jurong Gateway and Jurong Lake District, could create even greater impact as a key urban equaliser.
Patrik's presentation is part of a series of SIA's master planning seminars for architecture professionals to explore Singapore's developments and imagine new possibilities to transform Singapore through innovative architecture.
