Ooi Wei Yap moderates panel at World Ageing Festival

Director Ooi Wei Yap represented SAA at the 14th World Ageing Festival, moderating an insightful panel discussion sponsored by Trade and Investment Queensland. The panel, comprising representatives from leading voices of senior living in Australia, spoke of the growing demand for world-class solutions for the silver industry in Asia.

Mindful of the cultural sensitivities that undergird perceptions of senior care facilities in Asian societies, the panel noted that there is wide potential to rewrite current narratives of senior living through innovation and collaboration. Essential to this process is involving the expertise of local institutions, especially in navigating regulatory considerations.

The World Ageing Festival was co-organised by Ageing Asia and the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
