Returning the Bukit to Bukit Merah at Alexandra Vale

Our project at Alexandra Vale in Bukit Merah was one of the recently launched projects by Singapore’s Housing and Development Board. These 41 and 50-storey residential blocks will be one of the tallest public housing blocks in the vicinity offering remarkable views towards the city and Mount Faber.

Terraced garden decks cascade down to the ground-level park spaces, bringing back the “Bukit (Hill)” to Bukit Merah (Red Hill), seamlessly connecting this community space to the adjacent park. Playgrounds inspired by traditional folklore about the origins of Bukit Merah and an existing large rain tree become focal points and anchors for the community space, while footpaths weave through lush, landscaped spaces, creating a memorable and people-centred space for the residents and the larger Bukit Merah community.
