Transit-Oriented Development
Major global cities are shifting towards large-scale, mixed-use, transit-oriented developments (TODs). Typically centred around a train station, they are focused on encouraging compactness and micro-mobility to allow commuters to move around without the need for a car. TODs can also aid in solving issues of congestion, climate change and energy consumption.
We adopt a people-centric approach in designing TODs – ensuring well thought through connections, carefully considered placemaking, and purposefully designed public spaces. Our projects aim to engage stakeholders to understand and balance the needs of the developments; weaving together the social and urban fabric of the place to establish resilience and vibrance within the local communities.
