Taman Ria Nongsa is an integrated resort complex located in the north-east of Batam in Indonesia, and only an hour away by ferry from Singapore. This makes it an attractive holiday and golfing destination for visitors from the SIJORI (Singapore-Johor-Riau Islands) region. The complex is made up of a ferry terminal, marina club, golf course, beach resort, villas, shops and other amenities.
All components of the resort are built into the area’s natural hillsides, with the gradient permitting most units to enjoy a spectacular ocean view and the Singapore skyline in the distance. The resort’s buildings are built in Indonesian vernacular architectural style, to give visitors a sense of the locality’s tradition and culture. The Nongsapura Ferry Terminal has also been awarded a Design Excellence prize from the Indonesian Institute of Architects, or Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia (IAI).
