Bintan is a popular island holiday destination in Indonesia. Its master plan intends to transform its northern coast – where the Kepri Bay Serviced Apartments are located – to host residential and hospitality accommodations oriented towards tourists. The apartments will be situated close to the two ferry terminals where visitors from Singapore come through by sea; it is also accessible via air travel through the Bintan Resorts International Airport that connects globally to other countries and domestically to the rest of Indonesia. The apartments will also be near two existing four-star rated golf courses, other hotel and conference facilities with beachfronts, and Customs, Immigrations and Quarantine amenities.
The Kepri Bay Service Apartments are intended to house a vibrant and sustainable resort community, catering to local and international residents. It aims to capture three market segments presently not well represented in Bintan – edutainment, aesthetics and spa services, as well as eco living.
The project design separates the site into three segments – a Marina Village, a Wellness Village and an Eco Village. The Marina Village introduces integrated oceanfront apartments with terraced landscape and waterfalls. It will be linked to the Marina Village Centre, where oceanfront restaurants and activity centres will be located. The Wellness Village comprises resort villas that are positioned around lakes and the golf courses, with a Forest Wellness Centre at is core. The Eco Village contains a night market, an international school, and an edutainment facility “Kidzania” with an outdoor learning focus. The development will also promote a car-lite community where residents and visitors can commute by foot, bicycles, or electric buggies, to encourage active mobility.
