Instead of predictable straight housing blocks, the wave form is used to maximize the actual length of the frontage, giving more units better views to the central open space. This also adds a sense of depth and layering to the elevation and creates a ‘conceal and reveal’ effect to the dwellings.

Our concept therefore maximises the central open space so that the views to it are fully capitalised. At the same time we incorporated semi-private pockets of space to create intimate nodes which home owners can spill out and relax. A variety of spaces were created to meet the various needs of the residents. Apart from large central activity zones where the residents could mingle with their friends, there are also private cosy corners meant for reflection and contemplation. Courtyards are inserted along the spines of the housing blocks, opening views onto trees growing out from basement carparks.
